Danielle Laursen
Advisor Danielle was one of the founders of RTE and served as the Vice President for eight years. A graduate of Stanford Law School, Danielle is a practicing corporate attorney in the area. Danielle and her husband, Kirk, have three children who graduated from the Palo Alto School District. Danielle formerly served on the Palo Alto Girls Softball board and the Orion School (now closed) in Atlanta, which focused on providing an enriching environment that met the needs of children with severe ADHD and/or Asperger's. |
Stephanie Estrada
Advisor Stephanie Estrada is a graduate of Paly, Class of 2015 and graduated Magna Cumme Laude from San Francisco State University in 2019. She also graduated with a Master degree program in Child Development at San Francisco State University in 2021. She was a Voluntary Transfer Student for her entire life starting in kindergarten until her high school graduation. Having enjoyed being connected to her home community of East Palo Alto, Stephanie is keen to serve on the RTE Board and to provide insights in how our organization can better serve its scholarship recipients. She is interested in helping more low-income students achieve their dreams of college graduation. Stephanie has come full circle in being the inspiration behind the creation of RTE, to now serving on our Board of Directors. |
Laura Marcus-Bricca
Advisor Laura was the amazing Founder of RTE and played an important role in the lives of many Paly students. She also served as President until May 2018 prior to becoming an Advisor. We are grateful for Laura's continuing support Laura was a Special Education teacher at Paly prior to moving to Sequoia Union High School District in Redwood City. She is a graduate of Santa Clara University and has an Education Specialist Credential focused in Special Education and Teaching from San Jose State University. |
Kim Diorio
Advisor Kim served on the Board as a founding member and as Principal of Paly and later served as President from 2018-2020. She is an experienced educator and student advocate who proudly served as the Principal of Palo Alto High School from 2013-2018. Kim joined the Palo Alto Unified School District working as a School Counselor at JLS Middle School and then at Gunn High School before becoming an assistant principal at Paly in 2007. Kim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters of Science in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University, Villanova. Kim completed her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Change from Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara, CA. Kim is passionate about equity and access for all students, and innovation in education. Kim will always be a Viking! |
Michael Sullivan
Advisor Michael was a Founder of RTE and served as the Treasurer for six years. He is a local real estate developer and philanthropist with a strong interest in promoting and supporting access to higher education. Nonprofit experience includes volunteer work with the Family Care Network where Michael provided mentoring and support services to children in foster homes as well as volunteer work as a mentor and instructor with the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Peninsula. Michael is a founder of RTE and served as the Treasurer for four years. Michael attended California Polytechnic State University graduating with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. |
