Specific Needs for 2024
Paly's Rise Together Education relies on volunteers. We are looking for volunteers to help on the following committees:
1. Fundraising Events Committee. Do you enjoy creativity and organizing events to raise money for a meaningful cause? This is the committee for you. We are currently looking for help organizing our May campaign and other events through out the year.
2. Major Donor and Grants Committee. Do you know people or companies in your sphere of influence that support education for low-income college bound students? RTE needs your help on this committee!
3. Newsletter/PR Committee. Help with writing, planning, and using graphic programs to create and electronically distributing quarterly newsletters. Help with interviewing students for profiles.
4. Mentorship: Mentor college students at community college and/or 4-year colleges and universities. Are you good with young adults and have experience navigating higher education? Our scholars need your help! We are committed to mentoring Paly graduates from low-income families, and mostly first-generation college students, to get these amazing hardworking young people TO and THROUGH college. But we need more committed mentors! We will help you through the process and support you while you work with the students to get to their dream of earning a college degree. Time commitment varies expect from 1 to 5 hours per month but at least 2x per semester. This is a long term commitment and an incredibly fulfilling one! You will need to use Google Sheets and add notes to Salesforce.
5. Marketing: Help us create marketing/fundraising campaigns.
6. Coordinator for the Mentorship Program: Help with the administrative aspect of the mentorship program such as up keeping resource documents, scheduling meetings with mentors to exchange ideas, and ensuring that students get the help that they need.

Be a Paly Student Representatives for '24-'25!
Rise Together Education is the non-profit organization that supports Paly graduates from low-income families with scholarships and mentorship to and through college. Do you care about educational equity and leveling the playing field so everyone has an opportunity to succeed? Want to practice new skills and learn about grassroots nonprofit work? Then come work with us! The RTE board is accepting applications for 3 student representatives from current Paly students to the board for the '24-'25 school year. Student reps will assist as a Salesforce admin and other special projects. Time commitment: attend 1 meeting per month (5 pm to 6:00 pm during the school year) and about 2 to 3 hours per month on projects as needed. A few hours of your time is also needed during the summer of 2023.
