San Jose State University, Paly Class of 2019
So far I can still not believe that I am a college student. I was waitlisted for my on-campus housing until August 21st when they removed my hold and allowed me to live in my dorm. Thank you so much for helping me! The RTE scholarship money provided a room for me to live on campus so I can have more time for studying.
I love to meet new people and make new friends from different majors. I’m majoring in Computer Engineering, so far I love my major, and I love the projects we did in my current class. I think all of my professors have different personalities and policies, but I think all of their rules are reasonable and I was able to make friends with all but my biology professor (It is a big class). All the teachers I had in Paly were super helpful and they care about my learning. I’d like to thank Mr.Bocksnick for preparing me to take Math 31 which is a calculus class designed for sophomores and juniors in my college. Without my advisor, Mr. Toma, I would not even go to colleges, because he believes me and helped me to develop a habit of making a plan. There are so many people I want to thank, such as my communication teacher who teaches me to not be afraid to speak in public, my reading_between_the_line teacher who passed me the skill of critical reading and analysis and have fun in the process of reading; and all of my English teachers who helped me to write in English since it was not my first language. For science, I always have a fear of classes because they contain so much new vocabulary and words I did not use in my daily life. Mr. Lupoli helped me to take on those challenges, and he also made science to be a fun class to me, without him, I would not enjoy my current class, Biology 10, as much as I do right now. My favorite subject this term is Intro to Engineering, we are now doing a robotics project and it requires all engineering majors to participate in it. I’m one of the people in the software development team because I’m majoring in computer engineering. |
